Your saved guides, reading history, tracks, waypoints, checklists, emergency contacts and medical information are stored on your device. The app does not send that saved information to the developer. Apple device backups may include app data according to your system settings. You can export tracks or share information when you choose; the destination you select then receives it.
With your permission, location supports GPS tracking, waypoints, maps, compass information and local weather. Background location supports a recording you start. Location permissions can be changed in Settings.
Weather requests send coordinates to the US National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) to obtain forecasts and alerts. Apple MapKit provides map imagery and reverse geocoding to display place names; requests are handled under Apple's privacy practices. These online features require a connection. Bundled survival guides, emergency reference cards and on-device search remain available offline.
On supported devices, AI assistance uses Apple's on-device models and the bundled guide library. Voice input uses on-device speech recognition when available. The developer does not receive your conversations or voice recordings.
Apple handles purchases and restoration through the App Store. The developer does not receive payment-card details. The app includes no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Apple may provide developers with diagnostics according to your device sharing preferences.
You can manage location, microphone and speech-recognition permissions in device Settings, clear reading history and manage saved content inside the app. Sharing and export occur only when you choose them. The app does not require registration.
